Waipahu, HI (4/6/10) – At the Central Oahu Regional Park Tennis Complex, the HPU men's and women's teams each defeated Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology. The men's team won 8-1, with the Lady Sea Warriors earning a 9-0 victory.  The fifth-ranked men's team improved to 19-3 overall with the win. 
They opened the match with three doubles wins and fell in just No.6 singles. Daniel Luedi and Kaimalu Cope won their singles matches at the one and two, respectively, both downing their opponents 6-0, 6-1. Sebastian Grottke and Michael Rothhammer went the distance in No.4 and No.5 singles. Grottke defeated David Becarra 6-7 (5-7), 6-2, 1-0 and Rothhammer earned a 7-6 (7-5), 2-6, 1-0 victory over Alex Gumz. 
In the ladies action, the Sea Warriors (16-2) won three singles matches at love en route to the dominant win. Ingrid Cseh and Zora Vlckova defeated Sam Danesis and Megan Chann at one doubles, 8-5, and the pairs of Aleksandra Stankovic and Sandra Wikstrom, and Nina Mihova and Tinka Mihova won their matches at the two and three, respectively.  
HPU swept all six singles matches.  The men's team concludes its season and now sets its sights on the NCAA West Region Championships. Date, site, and time of the event are still to be determined. 
The Lady Sea Warriors next travel to Phoenix for the PacWest Championships. The tournament is hosted by Grand Canyon University from April 15-17.
