Women’s Soccer Falls Short To BYU-Hawaii

Kaneohe, HI (9/18/10) – At Atherton Field, the HPU women's soccer team suffered its first PacWest loss, falling to BYU-Hawaii, 2-0. The Lady Sea Warriors fall to 1-4 overall and 1-1 in conference, while BYUH improves to 2-0-1 overall and 1-0 in the PacWest.

HPU could muster just two shots on goal, one byAmber Fuller (Honolulu, HI) and the other by Sanoe Souza (Honolulu, HI). Natasha Aiona scored in the 57th minute and Kim Micheletti sealed the win with her goal in the 88th minute.

HPU goalkeeper Carianne Makino (Honolulu, HI) posted four saves in net for HPU, while Seasider keeper Megan McCain recorded two saves.

HPU was outshot 13-8 on the afternoon.

The Lady Sea Warriors retake the field Saturday, September 18, versus Academy of Art University. Start time at Atherton Field is set for 3:00 p.m.
