LA MIRADA, California - Hawai'i Pacific women's soccer fell 6-0 to Biola on Monday afternoon at Al Barbour Field. The result moves Hawai'i Pacific to 0-8-2 overall and 0-1-1 in conference play.
Biola struck early and often. Briley Phelps opened the scoring in the 6th minute off a Cassidy Sims assist, and Jade Alverio doubled the lead in the 8th minute.

Hawai'i Pacific had a look to cut into the deficit late in the first half, but
Lauren Longworth's penalty kick was turned aside by Biola goalkeeper Sami Robinson in the 36th minute, keeping the Sharks off the board.
The Eagles pushed the margin to three before the half when Phelps found the net again in the 42nd minute, assisted by Sims and Mallory Palm.
Biola continued to control play after halftime. Adrielle Salvador made it 4-0 in the 46th minute off an assist from Riley Brumfield, and Alverio completed her brace with an unassisted strike in the 65th minute. Phelps capped the scoring, and her own hat trick, with a goal in the 87th minute, assisted by Palm, to close out the 6-0 final.
For the Sharks,
Natalie Navarro and
Azjah Tocher each played a half in goal, combining for six saves on 28 Biola shots (HPU had 10 during the match). Longworth led Hawai'i Pacific's offense with four shots, and
Lisette Almanza added three shots of her own.
Emma-Rose Kapua Parker,
Lavinia Vaipulu, and
Cadence Mason each had one shot during the match.
