Hilo, HI (9/25/10) – At the UHH Gymnasium, the HPU women's volleyball team was swept by UH-Hilo, 3-0 (25-23, 25-18, 25-17). HPU drops to 7-2 overall and 1-1 in the PacWest, while the Lady Vulcans improve to 6-3 overall and 1-1 in conference.

Kelly Balanay (San Diego, CA) led HPU with 10 kills and Kyra Pelayo (San Jose, CA) recorded a match-high 17 digs. Courtney Curran (Long Beach, CA) posted nine kills and Chelsey Buyuan (Hilo, HI) added 11 digs.

Hillary Hurley led UH-Hilo with a match-high 16 kills.

HPU returns to action on Friday, October 1, versus BYU-Hawaii. Start time at Saint Andrew's Priory is set for 7:00 p.m.
