Honolulu, HI (October 19, 2011) – The Hawai'i Pacific women's soccer team lost their second consecutive game, this time a 2-0 setback against Dixie State College. HPU is now 8-4-2 overall and 5-3-2 in the PacWest.

Both teams played well in the first half, but it was DSC's Kathryn Haynie who scored less than five minutes before the break. HPU outshot DSC in the first half 10-9. The Red Storm scored again in the 63rd minute to finish the scoring.

Carianne Makino had seven saves in goal while Andrea Aguirre led HPU with three shots.

DSC outshot HPU 21-14 for the match and won the corner kick battle 4-2. The Red Storm is now 6-7, 4-3.

HPU will next travel to Laie to face BYU-Hawai'i on Friday in a non-conference match at 12:30 PM.
