Kaneohe, HI (October 5, 2011) – KaUa Wall scored four goals in Hawai'i Pacific's 4-0 non-conference win over Chaminade on Wednesday afternoon at Atherton Field. Wall doubled her season total in one day; she now leads the team with eight goals.
Wall gave HPU the lead in the 15th minute when
Taylor Rae Silva sent a cross in front of the net; Wall headed the ball past the keeper to the upper right corner. At the 37:42 mark HPU led 2-0,
Yasmina Taketa passed into the box, and while airborne, Wall kicked it in. In the second half it was more Wall. In the 77th minute she came out of a pile of players to score in front of the goal,
Sanoe Souza was there for the assist. Wall finished the scoring in the 86th minute when Chaminde turned the ball over in the box; Wall was in position to capitalize.
HPU controlled much of the match, constantly pressuring Chaminade. HPU won the shot battle 17-6, and only one of Chaminade's shots was on goal.
HPU improves to 7-2-1 while Chaminade falls to 1-9.
HPU next travels to UH-Hilo on Saturday for a PacWest match. They return home on October 17, 2010 to host Cal Baptist for the first time as a member of the PacWest. The game will start at 12:30 PM at Atherton Field.
