Honolulu, HI (September 21, 2011) - Hawai'i Pacific won the Pacific West Conference's Commissioner's Cup, an award for the best overall athletics program, for the 2010-2011 school year. On Friday, in between the second and third sets of the volleyball match, HPU will receive the trophy.

With an average finish of nearly third place across all 11 Pacific West sports, Hawai'i Pacific captured the Commissioner's Cup for the second time in as many years. The Sea Warriors were co-champions in softball and finished second in women's tennis, men's soccer, baseball and women's cross country. HPU took third in volleyball, women's basketball, and men's cross country, and tied for third in women's soccer.
In the four years the Commissioner's Cup has been contested in the PacWest, HPU has finished no lower than fourth and has finished at least second or higher in each of the last three seasons.
The match will feature HPU vs. Notre Dame de Namur and start at 7:00 PM.
