Box Score KANEOHE, HI (October 28, 2013)—The Hawai`i Pacific Men's Soccer Team (8-4-2, 6-2-1) got back to its winning ways, defeating Holy Names (4-9-3, 3-6-3) 1-0 on Monday.

Brais Garcia tested the Red Hawks defense early and often, but the Sea Warriors went to the break with a scoreless tie despite out shooting HNU 7-2.

HPU kept up the pressure in the second half, as Kemsies, Garcia,
Sven Elverfors and
Kamali Webson all put shots on frame. Garcia even sent a header off the post in the 71
st minute.

The Sea Warriors finally broke through in the 79th minute when Garcia took a feed from
Felipe Silva beating the goalkeeper to the low left side of the net.

The goal was Garcia's ninth of the year and his Pacific West Conference leading sixth game-winner.

Not going away quietly, the Red Hawks sought to tie the score in the 85
th minute, but Sea Warrior's goalkeeper
Mael Lefebvre made the save to preserve the 1-0 victory.

Hawai`i Pacific would finish the match with a 16-8 shot advantage including a dominate 10-2 advantage in shots on goal.

The win gives HPU 21 points in the standings, good enough for sole possession of third place just three points behind league leader Azusa Pacific.

The Sea Warriors close out the home portion of their schedule on Saturday, November 2
nd when they host Academy of Art on senior day at Atherton Field. Kickoff is scheduled for 3:00 p.m.
