Women’s Soccer Blanked by California Baptist

Box Score RIVERSIDE, CALIF. (October 31, 2015)—In the last mainland contest of the season's final road swing, the Hawaii Pacific women's soccer team fell 4-0 to California Baptist University in a PacWest Conference contest at Lancer Soccer Field.

The Sharks (7-9, 4-7 PacWest) initially held CBU scoreless in the first half, but were eventually out-shot 17-8 in the match. HPU's Meghan Cooley led the visiting squad with three shots, including two on goal.
 
The Lancers (7-7-2, 7-3-1) scored on Angelique Carrillo's goal in the 56th minute, and two minutes later, Lauren Wallberg added a goal to boost CBU's lead to two. Justene Kesterson notched a pair of insurance goals in the 82nd and 85th minutes to put the match out of reach. Jordanne Laky assisted on each of the latter two scores.
 
HPU continues its three-match road trip, which includes matches along the West Coast and in Laie, before returning to Atherton Field on Nov. 7 for Senior Day and the season finale against UH Hilo at 12:30 p.m.
