Box Score FAIRBANKS, Alaska (November 14, 2015) – Despite receiving 21 points from Bowling Green transfer Chauncey Orr, the Hawaii Pacific men's basketball team fell 69-65 to Alaska Anchorage to finish off the GNAC/PacWest Crossover tournament at Alaska Fairbanks' Alaska Airlines Court.
 
Senior guard Joel Feigler chipped in 13 points in the loss, while senior forward Luke Hager, Orr and Feigler each pulled down seven rebounds. Orr's point total was buoyed by five 3-pointers and the redshirt-senior also shot 50 percent from the field to keep the Sharks in the game.
 
The Sharks (0-2) trailed 26-25 at halftime but turned the tables with stellar defensive pressure that allowed HPU to go ahead 48-41 with nine minutes remaining in the contest.
 
However, late in the second frame, Alaska Anchorage went on an 8-0 run and took a 57-55 lead with 3:17 to play. The Seawolves would not relinquish the advantage and hit a handful of their 16 made free throws to ice the game and improve to 5-2 on the season.
 
Alaska Anchorage was out-rebounded by HPU 42-38, but held the advantage in bench scoring (28-12) and points in the paint (28-12).
 
HPU has 10 days off before returning to the hardcourt to face Chapman University on Nov. 24 at 6 p.m. at the Cannon Activities Center in Laie.
