Personal: Born in Cocoa Beach, Florida…parents are Chris Hager and Kasey Coe…has one brother, Jake Hager (25)…hobbies include golfing, FIFA, ping pong, and shoe shopping…favorite foods are Chinese, steak, and BBQ pulled pork…favorite movies are 22 Jump Street, Talladega Night, and Old School…favorite musical artists are Justin Timberlake, Tiesto, Avicii, JET, and Rick Ross…favorite athletes are Bobby Fischer and Chandler Parsons…came to HPU for the opportunity to continue his basketball career while pursuing a college degree…majoring in Finance…in 10 years hopes to be a scratch golfer

Prior to HPU: Played at Whitney Young for Coach Tyrone Slaughter, as a forward, where he helped lead his team to a 4A State runner up finish. Went on to play at University of North Carolina at Wilmington for head coach Buzz Peterson.

HPU: 2015-2016 -- Hager transferred from UNC Wilmington to HPU to play his final two seasons as a Shark, and made a lasting impression. In his two-year career in the Islands, the Chicago native scored 738 points and pulled down 354 rebounds. As a senior in 2015-16, Hager racked up 13.2 points, 6.2 rebounds and 1.3 assists per game and earned a spot on the All-PacWest Conference second team for the second consecutive season. In his junior campaign, Hager ranked 18th in the nation in defensive rebounds with 6.78 per game, and finished on 2014-2015 All PacWest Second Team. Hager was also named to the 2015-2016 Preseason All-PacWest team.  The post player reached double-figure scoring in 19 games this year, and poured in a season-high 26 points against cross-island rival BYU-Hawaii on Dec. 16. He posted his career-high of 28 points against the Seasiders as a junior.

2014-2015- Played in all 27 games, starting 26, averaging 30.9 minutes…shot 48% (154-321) from the field, 42.9% (21-49) from three-point range and 73.1% (106-145) from the line…averaged 16.1 points, 7.9 rebounds, 1.2 assists and one steal per game…added 13 blocks...scored a career-high 28 points against BYU-Hawaii (12/4/14)…grabbed a career-high 14 rebounds vs. Fresno Pacific (1/10/15)…recorded eight double-doubles…named to the All-PacWest second team…ranked seventh in the PacWest in scoring average, fourth in rebounding, and ninth in field goal percentage…named PacWest Player of the Week (12/9/14)…earned team MVP honors
