Box Score LAIE, Hawaii (December 16, 2015) – The Hawaii Pacific men's basketball team was outscored 59-47 in the second half before eventually falling 97-91 to BYU-Hawaii in a PacWest Conference clash at the Cannon Activities Center.
The Sharks (4-4 overall, 1-2 PacWest) were led by a game-high 26 points from senior forward
Luke Hager, who also led HPU with seven rebounds and three 3-point buckets.
Joel Feigler and
Chauncey Orr chipped in 15 and 14 points, while
Connor Looney notched 11 points off the bench.
The Seasiders (6-2, 3-0) were led by Justin Yamzon's 23 points. BYU-Hawaii attempted 39 free throws compared to just 19 for HPU and racked up 29 points at the charity stripe alone.
The Sharks return to nonconference action against visiting Freed-Hardeman (Tenn.) University on Saturday at Moanalua High School at 1 p.m.
