Game One
The Sharks saw their 1-0 lead evaporate as Chaminade scored four unearned runs to grab a 4-2 win.
HPU grabbed the early lead when pitcher

But it was the CUH fifth inning that killed the Sharks. A leadoff single by Maureen Hutchinson, followed by Leonard hitting Jenn Betian and Ashlyn Yagin loaded the bases. Reinelle Matsuoka grounded into a fielder's choice, but the throw home to get Hutchinson went through HPU catcher
Carolann Toyama allowing two runs to score. Nicole Erichson drove in a third with a sacrifice fly and Coco Stewart's two out single plated Matsuoka.
The Sharks added a run in the bottom of the seventh on a pinch hit RBI single by
Gabriella Fordiani that scored centerfielder
Kristy Washizaki.
Leonard (8-7) went the distance for HPU, allowing five hits with four strikeouts and the four unearned runs.
CUH's Luana Moreno (5-16) picked up the win for the Silverswords.

Sierra Dias followed with an RBI single to right as well giving HPU a 4-0 advantage.
The Sharks kept pouring it on in the third, plating three more runs. After a
Dominique Walker single, a

The Silverswords answered with a run in the fourth on an RBI single by Kiana Ulufale.
HPU brought in
Alexa McCoin to pitch in the sixth and CUH's Erichson rudely greeted her with home run to left field on McCoin's first pitch. The Silversword's added another run when reserve first baseman
Jordan Curry dropped the ball when attempting to tag Hutchinson to end the inning and Alisen Endsley scored from second to make it 7-3.
In the top of the seventh, CUH make the game interesting. Betian led off with a double to right and Yagin singled to center. But the ball was bobbled and allowed Betian to score.
