IRVINE, Calif. – For the fifth time this season, Hawai'i Pacific University's
Jona Bodirsky was once again named the PacWest Conference Men's Cross Country Freshman of the Week for his outstanding performance by the league office.
Bodirsky, of Muhlhausen, Germany/Leibniz Gymnasium Ostringen, helped the Sharks win the Hawai'i Hilo Invitational last Saturday by finishing second in the 8-kilometer race in a time of 26:27.9, 52 seconds from race winner and teammate

The race was the final meet for HPU prior to the PacWest Conference Championships in Riverside, Calif., on Oct. 26.
Joining the Bodirsky with PacWest weekly awards are Biola's Gabe Plendcio as Men's Runner of the Week, Point Loma's Zita Molnar as Women's Runner of the Week and PLNU's Patricia Hopkins as Women's Freshman of the Week.
