Sharks Finished 7th in PacWest Cross Country Races

SAN LEANDRO, Calif. – The Hawaii Pacific University Cross country team wrapped up the PacWest season with the conference championships Saturday morning at Oyster Bay Golf Course.
 
It was all Biola as they took home both men's and women's hardware for individual and team events. The HPU men and women each placed seventh in their events.
 
The Sharks Justin Todd continues his season as the top guy for the squad where he finished 35th at 26:18.1.
 
HPU went back-to-back-to back taking the 41st, 42nd, and 43rd as Troy Oshimo, Kent Glover, and Tyler Stoker. Oshimo and Glover came across a few seconds apart with 27:38.3 and 27:40.9. While Stoker cruised in at 27:58.6.
 
Pairs were a theme for the men as David Rutto and Joseph Moran also finished a few seconds apart. Rutto finished 58th in at 29:11.4, while Moran trailed in behind him at 29:15.9. Lastly, for the Sharks was Angel Aviles taking 56th in at 32:57.3.
 
In the women's 6k it was Emma Dominguez coming across the line first for the Sharks at 24:37.0.
 
Hawaii took three more spots in the 40's with Maggie Meeds, Zamira Broadhurst-Hall and Anna Hildebrand. Meeds finished 41st coming in at 25:04.6. Broadhurst-Hall completed the race at 25:28.0 in 47th. Rounding out this trio of finishers was Hildebrand at 25:50.6 at 49th.
 
The last two finishers for the Sharks were Jadelyn Rodriguez coming across at 26:31.5 for 53rd. Lastly, was Mckay Guckenberg who took 55th at 27:18.1.
 
The Sharks have two weeks off before the D2 regionals in Billings, Mont. on Saturday, Nov. 19 at 7 a.m.
