FRESNO, Calif. – Hawai'i Pacific University moved into first place in the PacWest Conference Men's Soccer standings with a 1-0 victory over Fresno Pacific on Tuesday night at Ramirez Field.
The Sharks (8-5-2, 6-1-2) have a five-match winning streak with one match to play. HPU has 20 points to lead the standings, ahead of Point Loma and Biola who have 18 points. Both schools play on Thursday.

Gerrit Arzberger of Munich, Germany scored his third goal of the season in the 75th minute from a pass from sophomore
Leandro Weingartner of Ober-Moerlen, Germany for the game's only score.
The HPU defense withstood 16 shots fired by the Sunbirds, while being credited with seven shot attempts.
PacWest Conference Defender of the Week
Jeremy Zielinski did it again. The senior goalkeeper from Sunnyvale, Calif./Homestead posted four saves in the contest while posting his eighth shutout of the season and 13th clean sheet of his HPU career.
FPU keeper Matteo Swenson tallied three saves with the goal allowed to the Sharks.
The Sharks are scheduled to close the season next week on the Big Island against Hawai'i Hilo.
