Alysha Marcucci scored a season-high 25 points to lead No. 2/4 Hawai'i Pacific University to a 79-40 PacWest Conference victory over cross-town rival Chaminade on Wednesday evening at The Shark Tank.
The Sharks (13-0, 12-0) closed the regular season with the wire-to-wire win. The Silverswords (0-10, 0-10) lost all six games in the season series to HPU.
Marcucci of Yarragon, Australia/Marist-Sion, led the team with 25 points to go with nine rebounds as she broke the 1,300-point mark. She now has 1,305 career points.

Olivia West of Launceston, Australia/Templestowe double-double with 13 points and 11 boards.
The Silverswords were led by Jordyn Zader with 10 points, while Arianna Blowe grabbed seven rebounds while joining two others with six points.
HPU shot 43 percent from the floor (33-of-77), including 11-of-30 from the 3-point arc (37 percent). The Sharks both free throws they attempted. Chaminade shot just 29 percent from the field (17-of-58), making only 1-of-20 (5.0 percent) from the 3-point arc. The Swords made 5-of-8 (63 percent) of their foul shots. HPU dominated the boards with 56 rebounds to CUH's 30, and turned the ball over nine times to the Swords 11.
The Sharks never trailed in the game, opening with a Marcucci 3-pointer to key 9-0 run. The Swords later cut the gap to five in the quarter before HPU went on a 5-0 run to lead 16-6 on a 3-pointer by Marcucci just before the quarter horn. HPU never led by less than 10 after that.
HPU continued the run in the second quarter, more than doubling the Swords 26-12 and taking a 42-18 advantage into the half on a layup by senior
Makenna Gambee of Hillsboro, Ore./Hillsboro.
HPU eased a bit in the second half, but still totally dominated the contest, finishing with a 79-40 final.
The Sharks now must wait until Sunday for the NCAA Division II Tournament Selection Show. The program will stream on NCAA.com and starts at 5 p.m. HST.
