Game Recap: Men's Soccer |

Men's Soccer Falls to Eagles, 4-0

LA MIRADA, Calif.- The Hawaii Pacific University men's soccer team had one more stop in their California tour, as they took on Biola University for a PacWest conference matchup, Monday night. A swarm of offensive pressure was too much for the Sharks as they fell 4-0

The Sharks (7-6-2, 5-4-0 PacWest) have one final road game as they look to secure a victory in their season finale, while the Eagles (7-3-6, 6-0-3 PacWest) remain undefeated in conference play.

Sharks were fighting against a lot of early pressure to start the first half off. After sustaining through the first attacks, HPU saw some opportunities go their way, however, their shots would go just wide of the net. In the 21st minute, a corner kick for the Eagles netted them a goal as the Sharks fell behind. Then, back-to-back penalty kick conversions for Biola saw them up 3-0 at the end of the first half.

In the second half, it once again seemed like HPU had the pressure to put away some goals, but it just was not going their way. The Eagles added one more goal as the Sharks fell 4-0.

Graduate goalkeeper Jeremy Zielinski added three saves to his season total, while junior goalkeeper Austin Matthews added one.

The Sharks will return to Hawaii to play their final regular season game. They will head to St. Louis Field to take on the Chaminade University Silverswords on November 5, with kickoff set for around 2:30 p.m. HT.
