Erika Glenn Scores 21 Points In Homecoming Game

HPU falls to CWU 103-65

BELLINGHAM, Wash. - On Friday evening the Hawai'i Pacific University women's basketball team faced off against Central Washington in day one of the Lynda Goodrich Classic hosted by Western Washington University. The Sharks looked to pick up where they left off after their first win of the young 2023/24 campaign.

In the first half the Wildcats would establish a commanding lead with Valerie Huerta connecting on 10 of her 16 shots to give CWU a thirty-point lead heading into the break.

Hawai'i Pacific's foe from Ellensburg would maintain the lead and come away with a 103-65 win over HPU improving their record to 5-3. Though a tough loss for the Sharks, Erika Glenn's performance gave the Blue & White a positive takeaway from the game. The local guard in her return to Washington dropped 21 points with family and friends in attendance.

Megan Jones remains a defensive standout adding four blocks on the night bringing her season average to just under three per game. Haley Masaki would notch her third straight double-digit outing, while senior Ashley Nunez sank half of her shots from the field in her first start of the season.
