HONOLULU, Hawai'i – The Hawai'i Pacific University volleyball team (5–16, 0–5 PacWest) put up a strong fight but came up short in a 3–1 loss to Hawai'i Hilo (15–7, 4–2 PacWest) on Saturday afternoon at the Shark Tank.
The Sharks matched the Vulcans point-for-point early, hitting an impressive .375 in the opening set before falling 25–18. HPU bounced back with a commanding 25–21 win in the second frame, showcasing offensive rhythm and defensive energy. Despite the momentum shift, the Vulcans responded to take the final two sets and seal the match.
