Montecito, CA - The HPU women's tennis team won 5-2 at Westmont on Friday
March 7th thanks to some great performances in the singles matches. They weren't able to keep the momentum rolling as they fell to Domincan 4-3 on Sunday,
March 9th in a tightly contested competition.
Westmont
Although the Sharks were outmatched in doubles play, they were able to win all but one of the singles matches.
Rosa Viller Moller's performance stood out as she won her match in straight sets by scores of 6-1 and 6-3.
Dominican
While the Sharks performed well in the doubles matches, they weren't able to get enough victories in the singles matches to prevail against Dominican.
Sayda Hernandez was able to pull through for the Sharks and win her match but it wasn't enough as the Sharks lost 4-3.
The Sharks will look to get back on track against Cal Poly on
March 25th after a couple of contests were canceled this week.
