Box Score 4 Menlo, CA - The Sharks finished up their California trip with a sweep of Menlo. It was a dominant performance from the Sharks as they scored 49 runs in 4 games while only allowing 13. Bronson Rivera tied the single season home run record, while Noah Blythe picked up his 60th hit to lead all of division 2 baseball. Skyler Agnew only got out 3 times all series, picking up 9 hits and slugging 3 home runs. Agnew should be in line to become the PacWest player of the week.
Game 1
The Sharks jumped out to a 6-0 lead in game 1 on two 3 run bombs by Noah Blythe and Skyler Agnew. Menlo scratched across 2 late in the game but it wasn't enough as the Sharks won 7-2.
Game 2
The Sharks won 8-0 in game 2 with Jett Ah Sam, Jayden Gabrillo, and Kainoa Holt combining for a 4 hit shutout. Tyler Arnold, Bronson Rivera, and Skyler Agnew all hit solo homeruns.
Game 3
The Sharks jumped out to a 13-0 lead in the 2nd inning. Owen Wessel hit his first bomb of the year, while finishing a triple shy of the cycle. Tyler Arnold also had a day, hitting a homerun and finishing a single shy of the cycle.
Game 4
The Sharks were able to run away with game 4, thanks to a 10 run 6th inning to put the game out of reach. The Sharks won 16-5 with every starter reaching base.
The Sharks will be back on Oahu next week, taking on University of Hawaii next Tuesday, April 1st. They resume PacWest play against Hilo on Friday, April 4th.
