ALAMEDA, Calif. — Hawai'i Pacific University competed against a deep NCAA Division II field at Corica Park Golf Course, hosted by CSU East Bay, facing several nationally ranked programs in a highly competitive tournament.
Shuiyun He led the Sharks with a two-round total of +5 (74–77) to finish tied for 24th overall. He stayed steady throughout both rounds and positioned herself among the top third of the individual leaderboard in a field that featured multiple nationally ranked players.
Isabella Iorio followed with a +9 finish (79–74), tying for 41st. Iorio made a strong push in the second round, improving by five strokes and showing resilience down the stretch.
Giuliana Rovetti posted rounds of 81 and 76 to finish tied for 60th at +13, trimming five shots off her opening round score and providing key depth for HPU's lineup.
Paige Sur carded rounds of 82 and 76 to finish tied for 65th at +14, also showing second-round improvement and contributing to the team's overall consistency.
Yumi Sugimoto rounded out the scoring lineup at +21, while Momoko Kawakita competed as an individual.
The tournament was highlighted by a tight race at the top, with Seattle Pacific's Zoe Garcia and CSUSM's Avery Foster tying for medalist honors at -8.
The Sharks continue to gain valuable experience against high-level regional competition as they prepare for upcoming conference play.
