WAIPAHU, Hawai'i – Hawai'i Pacific won three of four games against Fresno Pacific across Wednesday and Thursday at Hans L'Orange Park, using timely hitting and key innings on both days to secure the series.
The Sharks opened the series with a 13-9 win, recording 18 hits in a strong offensive performance. HPU jumped out early with three runs in the first inning and answered multiple Fresno Pacific rallies throughout the game. Tyler Arnold led the way with two home runs and four RBIs, while Christian Perez also drove in four runs. Noah Hata added three RBIs, and Jayden Gabrillo contributed two hits and two RBIs. Jacob Vanek earned the win in relief, and Noah Rhea recorded the save.
HPU followed with a 3-2 victory in game two, capitalizing on a three-run fourth inning. The Sharks made the most of limited opportunities at the plate and held off Fresno Pacific late to secure the win. Rylen Bayne earned the win, while the bullpen combined to close out the final innings with Rhea picking up the save.
Fresno Pacific took game three, 15-8, in a high-scoring contest. Hawai'i Pacific built an early lead and later went in front 8-7 after scoring five runs across the fifth and sixth innings. Noah Hata and Kan Taguchi each drove in runs during that stretch, while Tyler Arnold added a home run. Fresno Pacific responded with runs in the late innings to pull away.
The Sharks closed the series with a 12-7 win in the finale, using a six-run fourth inning to take control of the game. Hawai'i Pacific added four more runs in the fifth to extend the lead and held off Fresno Pacific the rest of the way. Kan Taguchi led the offense with three RBIs, while Jayden Gabrillo added two RBIs. Ziah Chang reached base multiple times and scored three runs, helping spark the Sharks' offense. Flynn Warren earned the win in relief.
Across the four-game series, Hawai'i Pacific totaled 36 runs and showed depth throughout the lineup, recording multiple multi-hit performances while continuing to produce in key moments.
