Personal: Born in Honolulu, Hawaii…mother is Deena…has four siblings; Ashley (18), Michael (16), Malie (15), and Keoni (13)…Mikela enjoys the going to the beach…favorite foods are Mexican and Hawaiian food…favorite movies are Love and Basketball and Taxi…favorite athlete is Kevin Durant…chose HPU for the small class sizes and for its academics…in 10 years Mikela would like to be working with a successful job…she is currently majoring in Sociology.

Prior to HPU: Graduated from Roosevelt High School in Honolulu, Hawaii…there she played basketball, as power forward, under Coach Hinano Higa…Mikela earned Honorable Mention three years in a roll…her senior year she earned OIA Red East Player of the Years.

HPU: 2012-2013: Begins third season. 2011-2012: Played in 16 games…averaged 5.1 points per game…had a game high of 12 rebounds vs. St. Ambrose. 2010-2011: Played in 23 games...averaged 2.2 points and 1.8 rebounds per game...shot 70% at the line...had six rebounds in two different games.
