Personal: Born in Bellflower, California…parents are Dr. Ron and Dr. Kathy Schaefer…has two siblings Renee and Eric…nickname is “Danger”…Amber enjoys hiking, yoga, blogging and shopping online…she loves Acai bowls, French toast and coffee…her favorite movies are The Nightmare Before Christmas, Harry Potter and 500 Days of Summer…favorite musical artists include Michael Bublé, Lana Del Rey and Marina and the Diamonds…She’s wanted to be apart of the HPU Athletic Program since her freshman year in high school and when she received HPU’s Presidential Scholarship that made her dream a reality…Majoring in Psychology…In ten years she would like to have her own private practice and counsel people who suffer from eating disorders, anxiety, depression, self-harm, and sexual abuse…she would also like to write a self-help book.
 
Prior to HPU: Graduated from Assets High School in Honolulu, Hawaii…Cheered competitively for Pac5 as a Tumbler and Base under coach Ipo Chang…was named Varsity Captain for Pac5 Competitive Cheer 2012-2013, and named ILH Champions in 2012…awarded 1^st place competing individually at American Grand Nationals in 2012…awarded 1^st place individually competing at Aloha International in 2011.
