Personal: Jember was born in Jima, Ethiopia and graduated from Oak Harbor High School in Oak Harbor, Washington…parents are Dwayne and Debbie Jansen and she has three sisters and four brothers…her hobbies include playing sports, fashion, paddle boarding, hiking, and running...her favorite movie is Mean Girls…favorite musical artists are Talib Kweli, John Mayer, and Mumford and Sons…favorite athlete is Freddy Adu…major is Social Work…in ten years, she would like to be in the Peace Corps and be living back in Ethiopia…she chose HPU for the diversity and the acrobatics and tumbling team.

Prior to HPU:Played soccer under coach Jeff Laiblin, track and field under coach Eric Peterson, and competitive cheerleading under coaches Robin Gohn and Lauren Haines-Albritton at Oak Harbor High School…her cheerleading team won the WIAA State Cheerleading Championships her freshman through senior years, they were NCA All-American Team her junior and senior years, she was an NCA Top All-American her senior year, she was awarded the Competitive Cheerleading Coach’s Award her senior year, and was the team captain of her soccer team.
