Biography

Personal: Born in Sacramento, CA to parents Carlos Romo and Elizabeth Sabala…has three siblings Esperanza (19), Ruby (13), and Ava (2)...enjoys listening to Sublime, Red Hot Chili Peppers, and Christina Aguilera…favorite movies are 21 Jump Street and Enders Game…hobbies include playing the piano, going on hikes, and shopping…favorite foods are lasagna, chicken parmigiana, and enchiladas…favorite athletes are Lionell Messi, Sergio Ramos, Giovanni dos Santos, and Buster Posey…chose HPU because of the opportunity to play soccer and get an education in such a beautiful place…is studying Justice Administration…in 10 years Sara would like to be an FBI agent
 
Prior to HPU: Sara played soccer at Franklin High School under head coach Eliseo Lopez as a forward. She was named  All-City twice, and was named "Top 10 Players to Watch" on MaxPreps.com and in the Sacramento Bee. She also played club soccer for the San Juan Spirits Ecnl. as a center-mid under head coach Tony Perez.
 
HPU: 2015- Started 11 of 18 games...932 played...scored 7 goals, shelled out 3 assists, recorded 17 points...took 47 shots for a 14.9 shot percentage...25 shots on goal, for a 53.2 shot on goal percentage 2014- Appeared in 12 matches…scored one goal and passed out two assists…took nine shots, four on goal
