Summary

Biography

Personal: Christina was born in Saint Louis, Missouri, to Mark and Kim.  She has two siblings, Kalen (31) and Andrew (25).  She lives a healthy vegan lifestyle and practices yoga and meditation to balance the stresses in her life. Currently, she is a Nursing major with a Spanish minor and is an aspiring Physician's Assistant with a specialty in pediatrics.  She dreams about traveling abroad to South America and assisting in medical clinics. Her favorite parts about Hawai'i include the cultural diversity, aloha spirit, tropical climate, and most importantly, her volleyball team. 

Prior To HPU: A graduate of Cor Jesu Academy in Saint Louis, Missouri...where she lettered in volleyball under coaches Kate Caplinger and Jenny O'Connell...earned All-State Academic Team honors from 2008-2010 and was All-Conference 2nd Team in the 2010 season.

HPU: 2013: Started 16 of 26 matches played… put away 68 kills… had 60 blocks on the year. 2012: Furrer played in 22 matches, starting 16...had 63 total blocks, 45 kills, 20 digs, 14 assists...had a career-high 10 total blocks (1-9) vs. Alaska (9/8/12). 2011: Furrer played in eight matches, starting five...had 18 total blocks, 18 kills, seven digs, three aces, and two assists.
