Personal: Born in Torrance, CA…nickname is Sam…parents are Cathie and Chuck…siblings are Shaun (28) and Shelby (24)…hobbies include beach volleyball, surfing, and swimming…favorite food is chicken…favorite movie is Bridesmaids…favorite musical artist is Slighty Stoopid…favorite athletes are Kerri Walsh and Blake Griffin…chose HPU because of the location, the volleyball coach and team.

Prior to HPU: Graduated from Palos Verdes High School in Palos Verdes Estates, CA…played volleyball under Coach Joy Mckienzie…was awarded “Biggest Block” her Sophomore and Junior year…CSF Gold Seal-bearer…“A” CBVA Beach Volleyball Rating.

HPU: 2013: Appeared in all 28 matches, starting 9… recorded 242 kills in just 98 sets, averaging 2.47 kills per set for the second highest on the team… had a team season high of 19 kills and 21.5 points at Cal Baptist… recorded second highest on team in points per game with 2.82. 2012: Rummans played in 22 matches, starting nine...she posted 140 kills, 28 blocks, 28 digs, three assists, and one ace...hit a career-high .303 (14-4-33) vs. University of Alaska (9/8/12)...had a career-high 15 kills in four sets vs. Grand Canyon (9/25/12)...had a career-high  seven blocks (0-7) vs. Montana State-Billings (9/1/12).
