A standout from Daly City, California, Danielle “Dani” Cote brings leadership and versatility to Hawai‘i Pacific University softball. A four-year varsity letterwinner and two-time captain at Sacred Heart Cathedral Preparatory under coaches Tom Matteucci and Eric Stevenston, she excelled as a catcher, pitcher, and utility player. Cote earned back-to-back WCAL First Team All-League honors, was named 2022–23 San Francisco Player of the Year, and earned Second Team All-Metro and All-Bay selections. Beyond the diamond, she enjoys reading, scuba diving, and cooking. Cote chose HPU for its welcoming community and the family-like culture of the Sharks softball program, as well as the opportunity to pursue her passion for marine biology.
