Local product Jade Retuta joins Hawai‘i Pacific University softball following a standout career at Mid-Pacific Institute under head coach Aiko Gojo. A dual-sport athlete in softball and wrestling, Retuta earned multiple academic and athletic honors, including the Green and White Award (2022) for initiative, work ethic, and dedication, as well as consistent recognition on the President’s List and Honor Roll for academic excellence.

A disciplined and versatile outfielder, Retuta brings energy and consistency to the Sharks’ lineup. She chose HPU to fulfill her dream of playing collegiate softball close to home, surrounded by the support of family and friends.
