Hawaii Pacific University Athletics

Olympia Jara joins the Sharks from Bonita Vista Senior High School in Chula Vista, California. The 5-foot-7 catcher is pursuing a degree in Business at Hawai?i Pacific.

Jara was a multi-sport athlete, competing in both softball and cross country during her prep career under head coach Vanessa Kalavi. She earned Defensive Player of the Year honors for Bonita Vista softball, was named Second Team All-Metro Mesa in softball, and received All-Metro Mesa recognition in cross country. Her accomplishments also include the ASB Attorney General Excellence Award, the Live Like Micah Scholarship Award, the Live Like Micah Home Run Derby Championship, and being crowned Bonita Vista High School's 2025 Homecoming Queen.

Jara chose HPU because she felt the university's environment and location made it the perfect fit for her academic and athletic goals. Away from the field, she enjoys running, working out, relaxing at the beach, and grabbing matcha with friends. Looking ahead, she hopes to build a career in corporate marketing and project management.
