Sydney Capello is an outfielder from Mililani, Hawai?i. She joins Hawai?i Pacific after playing softball at Menlo College in Atherton, California, under head coach McKinsey Thorpe.

Capello graduated from Punahou School in Honolulu, where she competed in softball, bowling and cross country, earning seven letters. She played outfield in softball under head coach Boy Eldredge.

Capello enjoys going to the beach, spending time with friends, watching sunsets, trying different matcha spots, going on adventures and hiking. Her favorite foods include sushi, steak, poke bowls, açaí bowls and donuts. She enjoys listening to Justin Bieber, Chris Brown, Josh Tatofi, Drake, Ariana Grande, Mariah the Scientist, Fiji, Morgan Wallen and Megan Moroney, and her favorite athletes are Buster Posey and Shohei Ohtani. In 10 years, Capello hopes to travel the world as a flight attendant. She chose HPU for the opportunity to stay home while continuing to challenge herself and compete at the collegiate level.
