Sophie Hanson is a dedicated runner from Racine, Wisconsin, competing for the Sharks in both cross country and track and field. She began her collegiate career at Carroll University under coach Shawn Thieltz before transferring to HPU to pursue her studies in Marine Biology and compete in Hawai‘i’s unique environment. Passionate about both academics and athletics, Sophie enjoys scuba diving, hiking, and reading in her free time. She chose HPU for the opportunity to study marine life up close while training in a beautiful, inspiring location.
