Personal: Born in Thousand Oaks, California, Schuett goes by the nickname “Schu-Schu”. Her parents are Olaf and Anita Schuett. Her twin sister, Emma is 19 and her brother Everett is 15. She enjoys playing beach volleyball and listening to Never Shout Never, Coldplay, and Israel Kamakawiwo'ole. Her favorites include: papayas and mangos while her favorite movies include: Up, Nacho Libre, and She's the Man. Keri Walsh is her favorite athleate. She came to HPU because of the location and the outstanding science departmetn. She will major in Biochemistry, with a minor in Pre-medicine. She hopes to become a doctor at a medical practice.
Prior To HPU: Schuett comes to HPU from Westlake Village, CA where she was the 2011 Ventura County Hall of Fame Athlete of the Year. She was all-county and all-league at Westlake High School where she set school records for assists and aces in a season. Schuett is also a scholar athlete who has won tournaments in sand volleyball.
HPU: 2014: Begins fourth season.
2013: Schuett appeared in all 28 matches...she was second on the team with 521 assists...also recorded 137 digs and 15 aces.
2012: Schuett played in 16 matches...she had 60 assists, 18 digs, four aces, a block and a kill.
2011: Schuett played in 19 matches...she racked up 167 assists, 45 digs, 11 aces, and 11 kills...had a career-high 23 assists vs. Notre Dame de Namur (9/23/11).
