Keanu Kapana is the 6’2” first baseman on the HPU baseball team.The Hawai’i native chose to stay close to home to play, is now in his sophomore year wearing the number 12. Kapana recently was the PacWest Player of the Week.  He went 14 for 28 at the plate with seven runs, three doubles, a home run and 11 RBI. He also drew three walks, was hit by a pitch, and added a sacrifice fly. He was on base more than half the time with a .545 on-base percentage.

For the 2012 season he scored 23 runs off 33 hits (.379), with 24 RBI. The season came to a close against Academy of Art in back-to-back doubleheaders on Friday May 4th, and Saturday May 5th. Kapana had three hits and three RBI help seal the wins. 

Keanu has two more seasons of eligibility with the SeaWarriors. Continuing to be a talent on the field, he has hopes of becoming a professional athlete one day.
