Hawai’i Pacific Men’s Tennis star Petr Michnev is off to a red-hot start, winning nine of his first ten matches of the season. The junior most recently defeated three top-13 players in the span of four days including a straight sets victory of the No. 2 ranked player in the nation. For his efforts Michnev is this week’s GoSeaWarriors.com Player of the Week.

Coming to the season Michnev held the No. 8 ranking and has lived up to expectations. Of his nine victories, Michnev has won eight of them in straight sets.

From his first singles position Michnev has defeated four ranked opponents and an NCAA Division I opponent this season. Michnev’s only loss came in a close match against the top ranked played in Division II, falling 4-6, 6-4, and 11-9.

The Sea Warriors return to action at Central Oahu Regional Park on March 26^th to face Grossmont College in a pair of matches beginning at 10:00 AM.
