Chico, CA (11/20/10) – At the Coslet Classic, the HPU women's basketball team was defeated by host Chico State, 64-46. HPU falls to 1-3 while the Wildcats improve to 2-0.

Jazzmin Awa-Williams posted 12 points and grabbed four rebounds to lead the Sea Warriors who scored just 15 points in the first half. After a basket by Skye Savini to cut the lead to 14-13, Chico State went on a 14-2 run to close the half.

Natasha Smith led Chico State with 14 points, seven rebounds, and seven assists.

Courtney Buster recorded 10 points and eight rebounds for HPU, and Savini added five points and three assists. Awa-Williams was named to the All-Tournament Team.

HPU now returns home to play Saint Thomas Aquinas College this Friday, November 26. Tip off at the Neal Blaisdell Center is set for 12:00 p.m.
