Box Score Anaheim, CA (November 6, 2011) – The Hawai'i Pacific women's basketball team suffered its first setback of the season against 11th ranked Washburn University. HPU fell by a 90-45 count in the final game of the Disney Tip-Off Classic.

HPU came out sluggish and went down 22-2 with 14:01 left in the first half. By the half, HPU was down 52-14.
 
Taiyande Huskey led HPU with 10 points, she also had five rebounds.  Skye Savini and Mana Hopkins had eight points each. Hopkins led HPU with six rebounds. HPU managed only 15-62 from the field and 2-22 from three point range. HPU was again strong at the foul line, hitting 13-15.

Huskey and Hopkins were both named to the all-tournament team after the game.

HPU is now 2-1 on the season and heads to the Hilo for two more in-region battles. HPU plays the University of California- San Diego on November 18th at 5 PM.
