Waipahu, HI (February 19, 2011) – The seventh-ranked Sea Warriors swept Chaminade 9-0 in a road match played at Central Oahu Regional Park. Hawai'i Pacific is now 6-0, after beating Chaminade for the second time this season.
After going 3-0 at second doubles, the pair of Zora Vlckova and Celina Goetti debuted at first doubles with an 8-3 win. The duo of Aleksandra Stankovic and Sandra Wikstrom moved to 5-0 on the season by defeating Natalie Phanphengdy and Jan Matsumoto 8-4.
HPU rested Vlckova in singles, giving Goetti the opportunity to play at first singles for the first time. She responded by winning 6-2, 6-0. Stankovic and Florie Paquay both improved their records to 5-0, Paquay won 6-0, 6-0 at third singles. Amy Provost got the first start of her career, and won 2-6, 6-4, 1-0 (10-7).
The Sea Warriors next take on Cal State- Northridge on Tuesday at 3 P.M. at the University of Hawai'i Tennis Complex.
