Las Vegas, NV (March 14, 2011) – On the strength of a sweep in doubles play, Hawai'i Pacific went up 3-0 and then closed out West Florida 6-3, wining at first, third, and fifth singles. The win was big for HPU, extending their record to 11-3 and bolstering its resume with a win over a top five team. The seventh-ranked Sea Warriors could move up in the next ITA national poll due to be released on March 30th.
After going down 2-0, the first doubles team of Zora Vlckova and Celina Goetti roared back to win 8-3. Aleksandra Stankovic and Ielyzaveta Rybakova made short work of Luiza Sonnervig and Jacqueline March at third doubles, winning 8-2.
