St. George, UT- (April 19, 2011) - On the final day of the PacWest Golf Championships Hawai'i Pacific shot a 307 to move their total to 910 (+46) and finish in sixth place. Alessandro Radice-Fossati led HPU by finishing in 12th place overall with a 223 and taking all-conference honors.
Matt Tweddell led the team in today's round with a 74, Tweddell shot a 229 overall that put him in 21st place. Right behind him was teammate Matthew de Moraes who finished in 25th place after a final round of 77. Ian Boat shot a 233 to finish in 29th place and Harry Chang finished in 31st with a 236.
UH-Hilo won the tournament with a score of 880, one stroke better than Grand Canyon University and two better than Dixie State College. Hilo's Blake Snyder was the individual leader with a score of 213.
That concludes the 2011 golf season in which HPU improved on last year's finish and was undefeated in dual matches.
