KOHALA COAST, Hawai'i – The Hawai'i Pacific University men's golf team wrapped up its fall schedule with an impressive fifth-place finish at the 2025 Dennis Rose Intercollegiate, hosted at the Mauna Lani North Course. The Sharks carded rounds of 307, 301, and 297 for a three-round total of 905 (+41), marking one of their strongest team performances of the season.
The tournament featured a highly competitive field, including regional powers Cal State Monterey Bay and Hawai'i Hilo, who shared the team title at 879 (+15).
Leading the Sharks was sophomore standout Santino Diokno, who finished tied for 14th overall with rounds of 74-74-75 for a total of 223 (+7). Close behind, freshman Shion Suzuki surged on the final day with a 71 (-1) to claim 19th at 225 (+9). Senior Rico See continued his steady play, placing 22nd after rounds of 79-74-74 (227, +11), while junior Kyle Krupp tied for 32nd at 231 (+15).
Competing as an individual, Dylan Sakasegawa shot 77-73-82 (232, +16) to finish tied for 34th. Fellow Sharks Braydn Sato (242, +26), Tensuke Sakurai (237, +21), and Jay Sakagami (238, +22) also represented HPU in individual play.
With consistent scoring throughout the lineup, the Sharks showcased the depth and potential of their roster heading into the spring season.
