BELLINGHAM, Wash. - The Sharks fared fairly on the fairway this past weekend at Bellingham Golf and Country Club, where they settled for a modest 11th of 14 at the 53rd Annual Western Washington University Men's Invitational.
The Sharks were led by junior Klye Krupp and senior
Shion Suzuki, who tied for 36th overall with a score of six over par across the three rounds. Both Krupp and Suzuki collected eight birdies, a double bogey, and a low round of 1 under par.
Other notable performances included junior
Rico See shooting an eagle on the 469-yard par 5 hole 1 during his second round, when he also went one under par. Unfortunately for See, scoring 12 over par in the first round doomed him to a 71st overall finish.
The Sharks will next see the greens on Oct. 20 during the first round of the Dennis Rose Invitational hosted by Hawai'i-Hilo at the beautiful Mauna Lani Resort Golf Club North Course in Kohala Coast, Hawai'i.
