Las Vegas, NV (March 12, 2012) – The fifth ranked Hawai'i Pacific women's tennis team (5-3) lost to fourth ranked Armstrong Atlantic State 8-1. Lea Kruse-Utermann and Zora Vlckova battled for a 9-8 win at third doubles to earn a point for the Sea Warriors.
 
 Ielyzaveta Rybakova and Celina Goetti lost a close 8-6 match at second doubles, but HPU's upset of the ninth ranked doubles team got HPU on the board.
 
Armstrong Atlantic State won all six singles matches with two of them going the distance. Rybakova forced a three set match after taking the second set 6-1. Goetti also won the second set before losing a 10-6 tiebreak.  
 
HPU faces Grand Canyon tomorrow in Las Vegas at 12:30 PM.
