Manoa, HI (March 31, 2012) – The 14th ranked Sea Warriors of Hawai'i Pacific tallied a 6-3 win over Division I UC Davis in a men's tennis match played at the University of Hawaii. HPU improves to 10-3 overall and has now won four straight.

HPU set the tone in doubles play with two out of three victories. The P & P boys, Petr Michnev and Patric Guenther took control at first doubles and won 8-5. Adriano Locorotondo and Georgi Yordanov were tested at second doubles but prevailed 9-8.

The Sea Warriors took four of the six singles matches to clinch the win. Stephan Weling was impressive at fifth singles with a 6-3, 6-0 win. Michnev started off great with a 6-0 win in the first set and then held on 7-6 in the second. Gerald Moretti collected a straight set win as Locorotondo used the full complement of sets in his win.  

HPU will host California Lutheran University on Monday at Central Oahu Regional Park at 5 PM. It is the final home match of the season.
