HONOLULU – Hawai'i Pacific University Director of Athletics Debbie Snell announced the hiring of Jackson Boxall as the Sharks' new head men's tennis coach. Boxall officially joins the program in August 2026, bringing collegiate coaching experience across NCAA Divisions I, II and III, along with a proven track record of developing nationally competitive teams and student-athletes.

Most recently, Boxall served as an assistant coach at Biola University, where he helped guide one of the most successful seasons in program history. The men's team earned a No. 22 national ranking in NCAA Division II, advanced to the NCAA Division II Men's Tennis Championship Sweet 16 for the first time in program history, and made its first-ever appearance in the PacWest Tournament Championship match. Along the way, the Eagles defeated several nationally ranked opponents, including Azusa Pacific.

During his time at Biola, Boxall coached an ITA West Region Doubles Championship team and an All-American doubles pairing in Angel Guerrero Melgar and Alejandro Flores Monteverde. The program also produced multiple All-PacWest selections while recording the best overall record in school history. On the women's side, Biola earned a national ranking, finished fifth in the PacWest Conference, defeated nationally ranked Fresno Pacific, and posted a winning record with multiple All-PacWest honorees.

Prior to Biola, Boxall served as an assistant coach at the University of Redlands, where the men's team climbed to No. 15 in the NCAA Division III national rankings and advanced to the second round of the NCAA Tournament. The women's team reached as high as No. 19 nationally, while two student-athletes qualified for the NCAA Individual Championships. His teams also earned multiple All-SCIAC honors, including two First Team selections for the men's program and one First Team and one Second Team honoree for the women's team.

Boxall also spent time at Whittier College as assistant coach and interim head women's coach, helping develop the program's first women's all-conference selection since 2019 while guiding a singles player to the quarterfinals of the prestigious Ojai Tournament.

His coaching career began at Valencia High School, where he served as head coach from 2019-21.

As a student-athlete, Boxall competed collegiately at Glendale Community College, the University of Puget Sound, and Ottawa University Arizona. He concluded his collegiate career with an overall winning record while competing primarily at the No. 1 singles position at Glendale and Puget Sound.

Before college, Boxall was a standout player at Valencia High School, earning three First Team All-League selections, two League Player of the Year honors, two doubles championships, and All-Los Angeles/Southern California Area Team recognition. He also advanced to the Round of 32 at the CIF Individual Championships.

Originally from Santa Clarita, California, Boxall earned a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Arizona State University.

Boxall becomes the newest leader of the Sharks' men's tennis program as HPU prepares for the 2026-27 season.
