Honolulu, HI (February 22, 2013)- The Hawai'i Pacific Women's Tennis Team (3-0) continued its dominating start on Thursday, shutting out Chaminade (0-8) in all eight matches. The sixth ranked Sea Warriors have yet to drop a match in 2013 and only dropped a total of five games in singles action against the 'Swords.
The Sea Warriors dominated the singles matches as #44
Magdalena Smejova and
Carrie Shuler each earned victories without dropping a single game. #30
Karen Ramirez made quick work in her match winning 6-0,6-1. The sixth singles matchup featuring
Lea Kruse-Utermann was cancelled due to rain.
In doubles action HPU was just as dominate, as Smejova and
Vivian Hansen won their first doubles match 8-1 while Schuler and
Ielyzaveta Rybakova dominated 8-0 in third doubles.
HPU returns to action on February 27
th at 2 PM to face #2 BYU-Hawai'i, in Laie.
