HOLUA, HI (February 17, 2014) – The fourth-ranked Hawai'i Pacific Women's Tennis Team (5-0) completely overmatched UH Hilo in a 9-0 win that was played on the west side of the Big Island.

The Sea Warriors didn't lose a game as a team in the doubles competition. The teams of Karen Ramirez/Celina Goetti, Lorena Gheorghe/Magdalena Smejova, and Vivian Hansen/Carrie Shuler each posted 8-0 wins.

Singles play unfolded similarly with Goetti and Hansen each keeping with the perfect theme with 6-0, 6-0 wins. Smejova and Shuler just missed perfection by each losing one game.  Ramirez and Gheorghe were almost as dominant, each losing two games.

HPU next plays Chaminade at Central Oahu Regional Park on Friday at 10:00 a.m.
